They expect me to just magically be better?
I told the girls in my LifeGroup about my problems with my sort-of borderline binging (as in I don't binge to the extreme, just enough to make my stomach hurt/ make me feel sick) and then purging (which is sort of my automatic response. I feel like I need to do it and then if I don't I end up hating myself for it for the next several days.) They seem to expect me to just magically get better because I've started eating normal portions for most meals again (except the ones where I do that) and I just don't how things got so wrong. I don't know how to control it on days where I want to. I don't even know what causes it... What do I do?

I used to be anorexic, so I know how hard it is to break the habit. Try not to look in the mirror and try not to judge your body. You are beautiful no matter what size you are. Binging and purging is very, very unhealthy and there are cases of death. I'm glad that you arn't doing it all the time but it is still harmful. You are right about how it can't change overnight, its going to take a while. Just hang in there and work on doing it less and less. For every week or so that you don't, reward yourself with a night out with friends or whatever makes you happy. Good luck!
