Thumbs up The three good things - January 19th 2011, 06:47 PM

So this is an idea I copied from an EDs book, and I think it may be helpful towards recovery. It said everyday, you write three good things that happened to you in that day, but you aren't allowed to write (or at least, don't give more importance than to other things) about physical side (i.e. I lost weight -believe me, it doesn't make you happy, neither is good when you're underweight-). It's mean to help you to focus on possitive aspects as well, because when you've got an ED, you most of your attention to bad situations, sadness, etc.
If someone wants to follow, here I go:
- Mum hugged me, it meant a lot to me since I was on the edge of breaking down and I really needed it
- I got to relax and stop my mind overworking, and it was not by cutting!
- I was able to express my feelings to people without fear I'd be judged, and I'm starting to feel less nervous when I have to get food in! (I'm still worry a lot, but at least not as obsessively as I did )

(: Good job!!!!! keep it up!

I know what its like to want to die; how it hurts to smile; how you try to fit in but you can't; how you hurt yourself on the outside; to try to kill the thing that's in the inside.
