migraines - February 1st 2011, 01:13 AM

So I've struggled with both anorexia and bulimia and then i started getting migraines every day. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal? Should I be worried? its been happening for almost a year.

Hey there, sorry for the late reply.

This has happened to me before. And it absolutely sucks. When I had an ED, I would constantly get migraines. This is because your body is trying to send you a message. Migraines are caused by lack of nutrition, and other things. But in your case, it's because your body isn't getting what it needs. Also, stress is a factor as well.

Here is a website to back up what I said.

Hey there,

While struggling with my own Eating disorder I have had to deal with things such as migraines. There are a number of reasons that an Eating disorder could lead to migraines one of those reasons being a lack of proper nutrition to the body. It is really important that you try to get your eating back on track. The more you struggle with the eating the more medical complications you could face. I would also suggest that you look into talking to a doctor about the things that are going on with you. If you can get support for your eating disorder you can slowly work on overcoming it.

I really hope this helps and if you need anything feel free to pm me.

Jenna

There could never be amore beautiful you
Don't buy the lies, disguisesandhoops they make you jump through
You were made tofill a purposethat only you could do

-Johnny Diaz

Everyday
is so wonderful
And suddenly it's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I feel so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

To all your friends you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone
Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is?

'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down, oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today
