coming back... - July 15th 2011, 12:21 AM

so lately i've been over-eating more and more...im scared that mi binge eating disorder is coming back...i just got back on track from mi anorexia being in control of me..im just so scared that this is an endless cycle..does anybody have any advice on how to break this cycle?

Hey there. I'm sorry you're slipping back into old habits. I'm glad that you beat anorexia. That's awesome! And you're absolutely right; eating disorders are cycles. And the only way to break them, and keep them broken is to use coping skills, don't isolate, and maintain a consistent amount of strength, even when it feels like you don't have any left. Question. How did you overcome binge eating last time? Is that something you feel you can do again? My advice to you is to set a healthy meal plan each day. And use all your strength to keep to it. I'm not saying this will be easy, because it will be hard at times. Also, make sure you're actively journaling and/or talking to people you trust. It's important not to isolate from other or yourself. It will make breaking the cycle near impossible. Hang in there. You'll get through this.
