on tv i always saw skinny skeleton girls with anorexia and i always thought it was stupid how they allowed themselves to get that thin. But after my grandfather starved himself to death, i stopped eating. i lost my apetite and sumtimes i have to force myself to eat even though i dont feel hungry bcuz if i dont i get dizzy and collapse. Ive dropped [edited] pounds in nearly 2 months but i have to hide my weight loss bcuz my grandmother gets angry bcuz she suspects im anorexic. idk what to do i never thought this would happen to me

Hey, I'm so sorry that things are so tough for you right now. I know what it's like to think that a situation could never happen & when it happens, you're like "woah, how did that even happen?" Anyways, I suggest talking to someone before it gets worse..
PM me if you ever want to talk, we're all here for you

Hey
I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your Grandfather, that must be so difficult for you and the whole of your family. I hope you've all been able to support each other through such a hard time. Just a little tip, weights aren't allowed to be posted on these forums incase they trigger someone, so it might be an idea to edit that out of your post ![]() The horrible thing about eating disorders is they can affect anyone at anytime in their lives. You think it won't happen to you but it can. Quite often with eating disorders you aren't aware that anything is wrong before you're too ill to get yourself out. I think it's really good you're questioning your eating habits because that shows me you've noticed something isn't right. No one here can tell you if you have an eating disorder, to get a diagnosis you need to see your doctor, they'll be able to offer some kind of answer for you It's clear to me that you're Grandfather dying has had a massive impact on you and your life. Have you been offered any help or support surrounding your loss? Grief is a natural process and it affects people differently. Maybe you could consider speaking to someone about what you are going through at the moment? You have a lot on your mind and it must be getting to you! You're Grandmother has already noticed something isn't right and maybe you could use this to your advantage, use her as a source of support for your problems? Are you restricting your intake to loose weight? Or do you generally have no appetite? Because in terms of eating disorders such as anorexia, to be diagnosed there are certain criteria that need to be met, and aspects of that involves your thoughts around food as well as a few physical symptoms. Please keep in touch with us and let us know how things are Take care.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Are you seeing any type of professional about the death of your grandfather? Dealing with a death is not easy, and it is not unexpected that this type of behavior would arise afterwards. A professional, such as a therapist or a counselor, might really be able to help.
We cannot diagnose you with any kind of illness, only a doctor can. I would go to your doctor about your weight loss, and ask his opinion. He might also be able to give you supplements to help you regain and a meal plan that will help you keep eating, even when you don't want to. I hope everything gets better, I'm sorry for your loss. You're in my thoughts, message me if you ever need, I'm always here!
