So, I was reading through this forum. I don't know much about eating disorders. And I was wondering what is the meaning of purge and binge? I know, I am stupid. But I don't know what it means and I don't wanna leave it that way? So, mind telling me and a few things about ED?

Well basically binge or binge-ing is a term that means to over eat extremely. For example, say a person goes and binge eats, it means that person has consumed more food, sometimes double the amount or more, than they even need. To purge is to rid the body of just eaten food and those who purge do it so they don't gain weight from what they've eaten. Common forms of purging, are making yourself throw up or laxative abuse. Another common term you will see is EDNOS which stands for Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, and all that means is that it is an eating disorder but it does not fit the exact definition of an ED with a name such as Anorexia or Bulimia.
