Post i read it - September 17th 2011, 03:51 PM

so i read a healthy guide to eating or something that was a comment on another thread i posted...

I read it and everything but like idk what to think because it's hard to believe it, and actually follow it because i think so differently now after the fact that i don't eat as much and like am obsessed with losing weight and counting calories and all that "fun" stuff.

Well, you obviously know not eating is not healthy or the right way to lose weight (if weight loss is really needed). So you need to remind yourself the healthy eating is called healthy eating for a reason. It's healthy and you need to make yourself do it whether you want to or not. There's a part of you that knows you want to eat the healthy way. Exercise wonderful for losing weight, and you can eat healthily. Also, getting in "shape" by doing weights is sometimes all some people need rather than to lose any weight.

Feel free to PM anytime.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

Think of it more like a wake up call. Obviously, you're not engaging in healthy behavior. Maybe this would be a good time to get help, before it is too late and this affects you any more? I know it's hard to believe, but it only goes downhill from here. If you continue staying in denial, you'll only allow yourself to fall deeper and deeper, and you will not like the end result.

Have you talked to somebody yet? If not, please talk to an adult you trust. It can get better, you can feel healthy, and love your body again. It's not too late, things can get better. There are more routes to recovery than ever these days, inpatient, outpatient, you name it. Think about the life you can have, not worrying about it anymore.

If you need anything, let me know, or just reply. I'm here for you.

Re: i read it - September 17th 2011, 09:42 PM

i only told my one friend who was bulimic for a little while...so she gets how I'm somewhat feeling. i have no one else who i can really trust though...i don't have reasons to not trust anyone its just something so big to tell someone that idk if they would keep it a secret.

it kinda started when i told my one friend that i SH. she told my brother. and it just hurt because that was the one person i didn't want her to tell because he was just going away to college for the first time and i didn't want him to worry about me. i told him that i only have thought about self harming...after that i just never really trusted anyone. It was so awkward then between my brother and i..at least i thought so=[

It sucks to have something come out about you when you are not ready. Do you think you are ready to tell an adult? A friend can only do so much. Do you feel comfortable talking directly to your parents?

Re: i read it - September 17th 2011, 10:22 PM

not at all because i know they will make me eat more and be watching my every move and then i will get mad because i will be gaining weight.

I don't want them to look at me differently either.
Or find out that i have been cutting for like 5 months.
i don't want them to feel sorry for me or get angry or have anything to worry about because they always think i am okay.

Well, you do need to eat more, so their care would be just. Maybe let them know that their controlling behavior wouldn't help, and that you would need to go to somebody professional to be able to work things out.
