What's wrong with me? - October 5th 2011, 02:26 AM

I hate eating. I think I am very fat and eat as little as possible to make it through the day. If I did not have sports practice every day, I wouldn't eat. I have blacked out a few times from not eating and on a few occasions lately have gone 24 hours or more without eating. If I do eat a lot one day then I won't the next to make up for it. What is wrong with me??

There are two issues I want to address right now: Healthier eating, and self esteem.

I know how hard it is to eat when you feel so huge. But you're in a sport. You can get healthy and in shape without resorting to starving yourself. First of all, you're apart of a sport. You've already got the exercise thing down. Now you have to eat healthier, while still eating every day- multiple times. Here is a guide to healthier eating: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f16-g...ealthy-eating/ By not eating, you're essentially going to gain weight before you'd even lose any. Your body would think that it's starving, so it will start turning everything you eat into fat. Not to mention it would eat away at your muscle. It's best to do this the healthy way. Much less torturous. Because once you're hooked, it's a bitch to get out of.

I feel that you have a poor self esteem. I do too sometimes. I know this is going to sound real cheesy, but perhaps you could list all the things that you like about yourself. Try to focus on the positive. And turn everything that you don't like about yourself into something positive. Whenever you're feeling bad about yourself, look at the list, and know that you are a beautiful person. I don't even have to see what you look like in order to know that your beautiful. Everyone has beauty in them. sometimes it take a long time for you to see it, but it absolutely doesn't mean it's not there. Hold onto that. Take good care of yourself. <3

I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh
