i want to lose weight! - October 18th 2011, 08:56 PM

i used to be underweight but now ive put on a (edited) and i miss my old body, i want to be really skinny again as i prefer being that way because now when i look in the mirror i look so fat! i rele need some help on how to loose weight :/

This forum does not exist to enable your disorder in any way. If you're looking for tips on how to lose weight, this is not the appropriate place to look.

The best way to loose weight is the healthy way. Eat a balanced diet and exercise. Just try to limit your sugar intake.

There's a difference between a disorder and wanting to be attractive and skinny.

Sure, but I assume it's an eating disorder since it is posted in the eating disorder forum. If it isn't then it should be placed elsewhere unless this person is looking to develop one in which case it's inappropriate for the forums altogether.

Hey there,

If you are interested in losing weight, I would see a nutritionist or doctor to be able to obtain a diet/exercise plan that works for your body. Even with online resources, such as BMI and healthy diet plans, there is no way to be able to see what works strictly for you besides being seen by a doctor. These visits are usually quick and easy, and guarantee that you will be losing weight a healthy and effective way, rather than an unhealthy way.

As many were also saying, I assume that, because you posted it in the eating disorder forum rather than the general health, you may have had problems with your eating habits before. By seeing a doctor, you can be able to take care of disordered habits, along with getting new, good habits.

Until you see a doctor, I would check out our Guide to Healthy Eating. This gives great tips on staying healthy, which will also help necessary weight loss. And if you need anything else, feel free to reply, or message me.
