Sports and ED's - November 14th 2011, 12:18 AM

I want to go back to a sport that my coach made me take a break from because of an Ed possibility and now I want to go back but since my coach/ coaches now know I'm afraid that everything will be different. If it is would it be such a bad thing or a good thing? Has anybody returned to a sport with the coach knowing that u have/had one? If so what was your experience like? Anybody please help me and reply even just to share your thoughts about it even if you've never experienced anything remotely similar to this!!!!!! Please I need to decide if I want to go back to the sport or not soon.

So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.

Hey there,

I'm sorry about a late reply! I have not had this experience, however, I would recommend you talking to your coach before returning so that he/she will be able to know how to keep you in recovery and at the same time be able to play. It would be a shame to be doing so well, and to fall thanks to a sport, but at the same time, a sport is a great distraction and will really be able to help you in recovery as well. So I would talk to your coach, maybe have a meeting them and your doctor, and talk about ways to be able to do both at once.

I agree, you should talk to your coach before you play again because you want to make sure that your healthy enough to play where your not feelings sick afterward. Stay Strong and Positive!
