Not hungry? - December 25th 2011, 06:16 AM

So recently I have found a lost in appetite. I barely eat once a day. I am just not hungry. I used to eat a lot. Never been overweight or underweight. This is just bothering me. Today, for instance, the only thing I ate was a cheese roll up from Taco Bell around 11:45 am. I know I should eat more, but I just haven't been hungry. Sometimes I don't eat at all. What should I do?

I didn't eat anything for at least 2 days this week. I just wasn't hungry either. But, it's really not healthy and can make you sick. So, at least try to eat some fruit or veggies (Something light and healthy) if you don't want to eat.

At least you know you should eat more.. that's a really good start. You might not be hungry due to hormones, stress, stuff like that. You should reaaaaally try eat some more though, I'm sure you're plenty aware of the damage you could do to your body. If eating when you're not hungry isn't something you fancy, I suggest you start of with something small, like crackers, and healthy like fruit and veg. These will mean you get your nutrients, and make sure you drink plenty too! Lack of food can add to dehydration where loss of electrolytes occurs, so it's best to increase your water intake too.
Take care x

Honestly, I feel like you are hungrrrry, but don't know it! I used to never feel hungry when I was anorexic eating very little, because my body got used to it. I would always say I wasn't hungry, but then start eating several light meals a day until you get up to a full day's worth of nutrition!
