Hey there,

It could be that you are dealing with distorted thinking; what I mean is that you may be beautiful to a number of people but because you are lacking in self esteem you cannot see your beauty. It can be very hard to over come this distorted thinking but it is not impossible.

I think you should work on making a list of good qualities you possess; if you have a list of good qualities you possess it can be very beneficial because any time you are overcome with negative thoughts you can look at that list and push aside the negative thoughts. If you are having difficulty coming up with positive qualities about yourself it might be wise to ask some of your friends and family what positive qualities they see in you. Sometimes we are not able to see our good qualities but our friends and family can.

Also it might really help if you get some sticky notes and put those positive thoughts on them and stick them all around your room and maybe even attach them to mirrors and what not. Another suggestion is that you try saying morning affirmation such as "I am beautiful" or "I am perfect" even if you are not feeling this way repeating this positive thought to yourself can help to boost your self esteem. Another thing you can try is looking up some positive quotes; that can be a great way to build self esteem!

Have you ever considered looking into counseling did try and figure out the reasons behind your low self esteem? If you can work on that these feelings of not feeling good enough can slowly start to fade and you might not feel the need to eat so little of meals and you will probably start to feel happy with yourself.

I really hope this helped and if you need anything please feel free to pm me.

Jenna

There could never be amore beautiful you
Don't buy the lies, disguisesandhoops they make you jump through
You were made tofill a purposethat only you could do
So there could never be amore beautiful you
-Johnny Diaz

Everyday
is so wonderful
And suddenly it's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I feel so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

To all your friends you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone
Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is?

'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down, oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

Honestly, losing carbs starts in the kitchen. You need to calculate how many carbs you're supposed to consume in a day, based on your weight. Otherwise working out will do nothing for you. You need to eat at least 3 meals a day, consume lots of water, and lots of protein. Try eating almonds or some other type of nuts through-out the day. Here's a little meal plan you can follow if you really want to start burning carbs.

Breakfast: 1 cup of Oatmeal

Lunch: Half a can of tuna, with some salad and low-fat salad dressing

Dinner: Meat and rice

You can also get little gel caps with fish oils, they're kind of pricey, but they give you the nutrients you need to burn carbs, as well as gain muscle. If you continue eating the way you do, you will not burn carbs nearly as fast as you would if you ate what's stated above, at the very least. I was following this guide about a year back, and I was in the best shape of my life. Give or take a few changes due to my weight. You can also try going for runs following whats called the HIIT program. What you do is sprint as fast as you can for 30 seconds, then walk for 30 seconds, and keep doing that for 20 minutes a day. That's all it takes, 20 minutes a day and a good meal plan and you'll be in amazing shape in no time.

Re: OMG - December 31st 2011, 04:00 AM

I used to be anorexic. I am just know being able to eat enough. You need to eat. I know everyone says this but you do. I fainted multiple times because I wasnt eating. I fainted in situations were if someone wasnt there i could have died. I felt so fat. But a nutritionist told me i was under weight. At the time that didnt matter because i wanted to be thinner then that. She had to get it into my head that I could die if I dont stop. I dont know you, but i know you are strong enough and smart enough to do what you need to. Your not going to loook any pretty if your starve and end up in the hospital or worse. Just think about the other possible outcomes. You CAN fix this
