Not sure what to do. - December 30th 2011, 04:47 PM

I put on weight over xmas. I was underweight before, and now I think i am a normal weight. I have a doctors appointment soon, and I'm sure my weight will be checked. I don't want to go to the doctor's appointment as I feel like a failure. I was asked to go to this appointment though (surgery phoned me) so I can't exactly cancel it. What should I do?? :S I want to lose weight, feel fat, I'm not even underweight. If I go to the appointment the doctor will think that there is nothing wrong with me.

Hey there,

If you were underweight before the holidays and you happened to put on weight then there is nothing to worry about because being underweight is not healthy. Now, if you are struggling with an Eating Disorder it is very common for the holidays to be a struggle and for people to feel as though they have gained weight.

I think you should go to your doctor and talk to him or her about your concerns and let them know what you are struggling with. I know it will be hard but in the end it can be very beneficial. I hope this helps and if you need anything please feel free to pm me.

Jenna

There could never be amore beautiful you

Everyday
is so wonderful
And suddenly it's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I feel so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

To all your friends you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone
Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is?

'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down, oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

Hey; yeah, I wouldn't worry about it.
If you're worried about people not caring, then that's not a very good reason to lose weight. People will care about you no matter what weight you are. If you think you have a problem and need help, go to someone. But don't make yourself underweight again just because you're worried that no one will care if you're at a normal weight.
