Jealous - January 26th 2012, 08:42 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

this might sound really bad and creepy but its weird we are worried about one of my dogs because you can see his bones and when you hardly touch his fur you can feel them. But the thing is all though i'm worried about him and hope he is okay I am also so JEALOUS of him because I wanna be a certan weight and I wanna be able to see my hip bones and collar bones even my ribs...By the way yes I have an eating disorder

But does this make me sound crazy?

As the smoke clears
I awaken, and untangle you from me
Would it make you, feel better to watch me while I bleed?
All my windows, still are broken
But I'm standing on my feet

It doesn't make you sound crazy, but it IS something that you need to get help with. Being able to see your collar bone or your ribs stick out isn't healthy. It's definitely not something you should be striving for. You need to talk to someone about this, preferably a professional. Your school probably has a counselor that you can share this with, to make it more convenient. But, please don't let yourself get to the point of sickness. Eating disorders can cause so many health problems for you down the line. Honestly, it's not worth dropping a little extra weight. Instead, eat healthy and exercise. The effects will be longer lasting and will take less of a toll on your body.

I already am seeking help for my eating disorder among other things.

Heyyy,
No, i dont think you're crazy or weird, I just think you're hurting inside and want to be that beautiful girl. There's no magical words I can say to show you the truth and make you feel better but just want to let you know an eating disorder doesn't define you and who you are. You may have one but you are not the eating disorder. You are perfect and beautiful. You are that beautiful girl and against all odds , I really hope you'll see that.

(ps. I'll always be here for you. Pm me anytime)

Let's try and remember that we're only here to help. And while we may get frustrated, we need to be patient with those that are willing to help

That said, no. I don't think you're crazy for thinking the way that you do. What I can say is that it's your disorder talking. Our eating disorders are programmed (for lack of better words) for us to think and act in certain ways that are deemed unhealthy. I'm really glad that you're getting the help you need/deserve. Is there anyway that you could talk to that person about your most recent thoughts. They can't help unless they know what's going through your head. And understandably (having been there myself), it's very hard to just come out and say things. But it can really help. Seeing your rib cage isn't a healthy thing. And ultimately, you won't be happy with that. Eating disorders, as you know.. don't bring happiness. And if you don't realize that now, I hope you do soon. Please continue getting the help you need. And if you need a person to talk to, I'm all ears. I know what you're going through <3

I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh
