Berocca - May 23rd 2012, 12:35 PM

I've been experiencing excessive tiredness recently. I thought I'd give the the vitamin drink Berocca a try. My mum's friend told me she used to drink it and it made her feel more energised.

http://www.berocca.co.uk/home.htm

I've been drinking it daily for about 5 days, I feel a LOT better I woke up at 8am yesterday, went shopping, went to college and didn't sleep until 12am, I felt fine. If I done that normally I'd be exhausted.

The only problem is it makes me pee a funny yellow colour

Is it healthy to be drinking this daily? I may be consuming more vitamins than I need.

Overall, Berocca is is pretty safe, actually. Though you should try to substitute the vitamins in the drink for vitamins in foods, as eating a balanced diet is healthier in the long run.

However, if you are indeed consuming too much of certain vitamins, you do risk some health effects. Here you can see different effects of too much of a vitamin or mineral.

There have been a few side effects from it such as stomach bleeding, increased urination, and tooth staining.

If you experience any symptoms of an overdose - dizziness, nausea, limpness in limbs or tingling, stomach pain, vomiting, unusual bruising or bleeding, severe back pain or muscle or joint pain - then stop taking it and see a doctor.

If you plan to use this temporarily while you figure out ways to balance your food intake, then this is a good supplement.

Thanks I do need to sort my eating habits out, next time I'll go shopping I'll buy a lot less junk food.
