Laxative effects - May 27th 2012, 03:29 PM

I've had 3 cans of pepsi max and 2 sugar-free chewing gums. I am diabetic so I have these as an alternative. I have got really bad stomach cramps and I have been to the toilet twice now. Any advice???

What kind of advice are you looking for? Because unless anything else is happening, the laxatives are working as they should. This is what they do- cause extreme cramping, make you use the bathroom, etc. You can expect to continue needing the bathroom until your system is empty. Laxatives can be very dangerous, so I would suggest NOT using them. However, if you do make sure you follow the directions, know the expected side effects, etc. For the future, try to not use laxatives. And know what to expect when you take medicine BEFORE you take it.

I'm confused. Sugar free things aren't the same as laxatives. Did you take laxatives with the soda?
