Losing weight - July 2nd 2012, 04:26 PM

Not sure if this is the right forum or not but I need it to go somewhere so hopefully this will do....

I am female, 5'4" and [EDIT]lbs. Which is quite heavy for a short female. If I was like 5'9" maybe not so big sounding. I AM very athletic (like being [EDIT] would probably have me being fully thin), so I just need to lose that weight and get down [EDIT] lbs.

Today is my last "fun" day before starting to train for a triathlon. I am going to be biking and swimming 3 days a week and running on 3 other days. I am going to be biking anywhere in the city with the exception if I plan to do things like get groceries or go golfing or something where I'll be needing to haul stuff around or if it is like storming.... And I am working on overall healthier eating decisions....

So I am hoping all of that will cause me to lose at least [EDIT] lbs (ideally [EDIT]) by the middle of August (so a month and a half), but I don't know if that is insanely unrealistic or not. I am going to visit my family and I have a lot of friends and stuff back there AND an ex who basically said that cause I gained weight he thought I was less attractive. I feel like I need to go back there and be looking good. My skin is good, my hair is quite grown out long and back to it's natural colour. I am doing better in school and am doing other things to get onto the right career path. It's just that my weight seems to be the one last step in like things I feel are important to deal with. I am so sick of hearing that I am "not fat" and that I "don't need to lose weight" and I just want to tell THOSE people to STFU cause I shouldn't be expected to be ok with being overweight just because I don't think those who are overweight are ugly or anything. If I want to be healthy and thing that's not unrealistic. And i want to look good when i go home.... but is [EDIT] lbs in a month and a half to much? Is [EDIT] instead of [EDIT]better?

Just to clarify, we are not allowed to post weight or caloric numbers on TeenHelp. So I have edited her post. I've been helping her through PM though, but if anyone has any suggestions or advice for her, feel free to help!
