Eh. - October 1st 2012, 09:57 AM

At the moment, I spend Monday's and Friday's in sixth form and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday at a pre-school for experience, which is compulsory. And I've been working constantly since last September, but I'm not allowed to have a break - I don't think the school will allow it.

But at the moment, I'm loosing my motivation. It's not even like anything is distracting me. I'd just sit there and stare at anything instead of working.

And I don't know what to do about it.

Thanks,
RosieJ

22/12/2014 was the last date I self-harmed. The longest I have gone so far is 1 year, 2 months and 5 days. This time, I hope I can give up! New record: 1 year 6 months! Yay!!

Hi there.

I guess that's the rotten thing about being in education - even when you don't feel motivated or driven, you still have to continue if you want to pass.

I'd speak to your head of sixth form and see what they say. I think chanses are you'll have to continue doing what you are doing if you want to get through and pass your course. Otherwise maybe you need to look into the option of dropping out for now - You can always go back and get any qualifications.

On the other hand, I know my head of sixth form who also taught me, asked me that when I came out of hospital, whether I wanted to do my course for an extra year so I could have more time to catch up on the 30 weeks I missed out on. Your sixth form might offer something similar.

I'd talk to your school about it and take it from there.
Jessie
