New piercing....Industrial...Help!

On Monday I got my industrial pierced so 3 days ago, and it's still throbbing and is swollen and red like I just got it done today! I am freaking out and thinking its infected after I saw some pictures of infected ones online :( Does someone have this piercing? and if they do I know everyone's different but how did it heal? is what I'm experiencing normal? And I'm doing all the aftercare right. Im turning it ever so often, cleaning it with unscented anti-bacterial soap and doing sea salt soaks 3 times a day. HELP, PLEASE! I am freaking out D:

It could be infected, no matter how well you perform your cleaning and after-care there is always a chance of infection with piercings and tattoos. I would personally go back to the piercer or to a doctor and ask them what they think and what they would suggest doing.
If it's swelling I would put ice on it (not directly, through a face cloth is usually good).
If it's infected you might get prescribed a cream to put on it to help, if it's swelling a lot you might need to take the piercing out.

I went to the doctor and she said that its probably healing. But if it don't get better within the next week ima go to a piercing shop and get it taken out.

I'd be patient, don't rush to take it out just yet. Especially if it is a bit infected, taking a piercing out can do more harm then good as the holes are open to the elements without a bar through them and can actually heal around an infection or keloid.

I'd keep doing what you're doing and some anti-inflammatories wouldn't go amiss!

thanks for the advice! But the swelling went down and so did the pain. I think I was just over reacting but its better to be over cautious then not at all lol
