stress - April 24th 2013, 09:17 AM

Right this might be a a common thread but I am dealing with a lot of stress at school and at home, I'm not good with dealing with stress and I have started regularly having breakdowns and my eating, drinking and sleeping habbits are really bad :/ so I guess my reason for this post is to ask how can I help reduce the amount of stress?

Giving up doesn't mean your weak sometimes it means that your strong enough to let go <3

Today isn't just another day, today I'll create something beautiful <3

Always feel free to VM/PM/Email me for anything always happy to help the best I can

Hey Nicole, I can totally relate. The first thing is to separate the things you can control from the things you cant. For example, if part of being stressed out about school is the fact that you're disorganized, you can change that and it would help. If you're stressed out at home because your parents are fighting a lot, aside from talking to them, there isn't much you can do to control that. I'm not assuming anything, those were just some common examples.

With the things you can control, it's easier because you can change something to make your life easier. With the things you can't control, it's harder because you'll have to find ways of coping with them. Find an outlet or activity that you like doing (that doesn't harm you) and escape into that. Deep breathing will also help.
