Memory Issues - September 8th 2013, 10:09 PM

Does anyone else here have major memory problems? I don't know if it's my depression, eating disorder, or medications; any one of them could be causing it. But yeah, my memory is absolutely terrible these days. Also, does anyone know of any memory games and stuff like that? I'm hoping that doing memory activities may help my memory. I don't know guys. It's just so bad.

Out of the ashes I'm burning like a fire. You can save your apologies, you're nothing but a liar. I've got shame, I've got scars that I will never show. I'm a survivor in more ways than you know. 'Cause all the pain and the truth, I wear like a battle wound. So ashamed, so confused, I was broken and bruised. Now I'm a warrior.

Re: Memory Issues - September 9th 2013, 12:50 AM

Depression is definitely a part of poor memory. Usually when a person is feeling down they're less likely to take notice in things, far less than usual and so usual activities, listening to people, being less observant and understanding things can be affected.

There can sometimes be other health issues involved and sometimes medication can affect a person's memory but it depends on what's being taken or there could be an underlying problem of short-term memory loss. The best way to find out what's wrong is seek professional advice and talk to them about how you're feeling, that way they can point you in the right direction so you can help improve your cognitive functions.
