Rectal bleeding anyone? - September 29th 2016, 09:13 PM

Quite a touchy topic really, but I know many folk who have suffered from this, and I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same, and if they have advice.

Recently I've been finding bits of blood on my tissue after wiping my bum after going to the toilet (pleasant, I know!). I get a bit of pain every now and then, but there isn't loads of blood.

My guess is that it's piles, and I have full intentions to see my Dr, but I was just wondering if anyone had been through this and if they have any advice and ideas on how it's sorted?

Is your feces hard when you go? Weird question, but sometimes I get little spots of blood when my feces is too hard because it's harder to well, push out. It may be a sign of needing more fiber in your diet. I'm not a doctor though so it's good to get it checked if you think it's a problem.

I'd say this is piles. Especially if it's hard and coming out in literally piles. I know I've lost so much blood before when I was on a psych ward that I was rushed to hospital but I've also had piles, I think most people have. Seeing your doctor would be good or going to the chemist

Cheers guys - much appreciated of you! I know it's not the most joyous of topics, but the advice is certainly of help.

Saw the doc today and it's nothing bad, it's in relation to my IBS. Nothing to be of concern.

Since you have seen the doctor and got it straightened out I am going to go ahead and close this. If you need anything else don't hesitate to create another thread!
