Good day - May 18th 2018, 10:25 PM

I suffer badly with sciatica, so I struggle daily with pain.. But 2 good things happened today. I went to the fair that was in town, with my sister. I went on the bumper cars (back only really hurt when the cars went in the back of us) and I went on another ride, which I hated, but did it for my sister. Again back pain. But I did a couple other rides, which was fun. And a huge thing for me... I also joined the gym. They had an offer, where it was free joining fee, and free for first month (Thanks to the Royal Wedding)

So, yeah. Did some rides, which even though hurt, I stuck through it. And I joined the gym. I mentioned I have a health issue, so when I go next week, I can say it's sciatica, and they can [I think] help me when it comes to using the equipment so it doesn't hurt my back. Today was a good day for me

That's so awesome that you were able to go to the fair and also joined the gym!

My mom had sciatica and went to a physical therapist, which is definitely different to the gym, but her physical therapists had her use these exercise bands to help with the sciatica. Maybe you can ask the people at the gym if they have anything like that you can use? But I'm sure they can definitely help you find ways to be able to exercise without making things worse!

I am glad that you had a good day. I have heard how painful sciatica is. I hope that the doctors will be able to help you. It's possible that they might allow you to see a physical therapist (I know people who have as well).

I hope you will be able to have more good days in the future.
