spotty thighs :( - May 28th 2009, 08:24 PM

So recently, my thighs have had spots on them. Not like big red ones, but small raised lumps. There really starting to bother me. I havent got them anywhere else.

I've been making sure to exfoliate gently twice a week, and moisturise well, but it's not helping.

Any ideas what they could be? Or what i could do to get rid of them?

just ingrown hairs i suppose, keep exfoliating, and maybe try to remove the hair from the pore.

youre quite self conscious about your legs aren't you?

Do you just get it after/in a bath or shower??

If so...could you be allergic to something....
..or could have heat rash?

I'm only saying that because I get those symptoms on my legs after a hot bath or shower...and once after I used a coconut shower gel?!?

Also...If it gets irritating or itchy, you could see a doctor and ask for advice...better be safe than sorry

It could be keratosis pilaris- basically a buildup of dry skin. Keratosis pilaris doesn't usually hurt, sting, or itch, but the appearance can definitely be annoying. The only real way to treat it is by exfoliating and moisturizing- if you've been moisturizing twice a day for several weeks and there's no difference (it will take a while before you see a difference) then you might have to go to a dermatologist- her or she might prescribe a special cream.

Nope, it's continously there.
Other than exfoliating/moisturising any suggestions at removing them?

My sister has this, hers covers a wide area...mines just a few spots scattered around. Doesnt seem the same, but if it doesnt get better, i guess i'll have to speak to a doctor

they could be hives(they itch) from something you are allergic too
Or it could be razor burn try using more shaving cream when you shave and be really gentle.
