Breast cancer? - December 14th 2018, 07:11 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

So I discovered a small lump under my arm, it is bruised where the lump is. I'm scared. Should I wait and call my doctor Monday morning or just go get it checked now at urgent care or somewhere? It runs in the family :/ there is also a sort of red rash in that area as well. I'm hoping it just may be a boil?

If you are worried I would go get it checked. I know that's probably a scary thing to do but it might be better to get checked out than to wait and worry about it until you're able to get in with your doctor.

I think it varies on the woman, but when I was taught by my doctor oh how to check for lumps, she didn't mention that cancer caused rashes. I don't think the rash is related to cancer, however, I would call your doctor about the lump. Breast limps aren't always related to cancer. Keep us updated on what the doctor says.
Cancer lumps can also stay in a single stage for about six years. My step mom had a lump for two years, but thought the lump was just from giving birth and making milk.
Talk to urgent care if you have anxieties about it though.

It's just a sebaceous cyst I worry over nothing any more.

I'm glad you figured it out, Court!

Another thing it could be–for me at least–is a internally punctured vein on top of a shrinking stretch mark. I notice when stretch mark shrinks gradually, they create bumps. Please note that this is what I have, a shrinking stretch mark and a punctured (probably a better word) vein on the left side near my arm pit.

But none of that matters, glad you got it figured out and so happy it isn't cancer.

It's good that you got it checked out and even better that it's a cyst. It can be difficult differentiating between health concerns and over worrying but a general rule is that it's better safe than sorry.

Since this has been resolved, I'll go ahead and close the thread but PM me if you want it re-opened
