PMDD - January 18th 2009, 02:06 PM

If you have PMDD what birth control are you on for it?
Does it work?
I'm on Yaz and it hasn't been working it's almost unbearable.

I personally do not know a lot about the treatment of PMDD, however I know a few people in my family have it so I asked them what they have done to deal with it. They referenced me to this site:
http://www.aafp.org/afp/20021001/1239.html
and told me that they have found Yasmine and Ortho-Tri-Cyclen 28 to be the most beneficial for them. You could probably ask your doctor to provide you with more treatment options for this.

Remember you matter
Remember they don't."

yaz is a lower dose than yasmine, so that might have some impact. It also takes a month or 2 for it to really help. If it bothers you a lot call your doctor and ask what can be done. That would be the best, if the higher dose is needed that can easily be fixed.
