Is this normal? - January 6th 2009, 08:44 PM

Hello all, I'm so glad TH is back!
I was just wondering, is it normal for a girl to be somewhat hairy? And also I have a masculine forehead. Is this all normal? It freaks me out sometimes.

I think it's normal lol. Everybody is different. Some are hairy, some aren't. I think just stereotypically girls aren't supposed to be or something like that. There is always ways to get rid of hair you don't want and noone will even have to know if you don't want them to!

It's fine. It is all up to the personal preference of the other person but generally a little hair is normal yeah. Some guys prefer it.. actually.

As for a masculine forehead? I have no idea what you mean by that. But it doesn't sound like a problem..

I sometimes ask myself the same question. But, I think that is can be consider normal because as said, everyone is different so some maybe whereas others may not. If you find it a problem there is ways to hide/remove it so that no-one will notice/know.

Everyone is different. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a girl being a little hairy. If you don't like it, however, there are ways to remove unwanted hair (waxing, shaving, or using a hair removal product). But definitely remember that it's okay. There's nothing wrong with having hair. It's normal. :]

Females and males both have testosterone in their bodies. Some females have more than others, which can affect hair growth, depth of voice, etc. It's not abnormal at all!

Kathy's right on. I'm pretty hairy, too, actually. Totally normal and nothing to worry about.

Its normal, I know my cousin is a little hairy. I know that it adds a little stress/activity to her grooming but she doesn't seem to mind too much at all.

Its okay to wonder that what most people do lol.

1. Try getting a side or full fore-head fring... it will make you look more of a pretty girl that Im sure you are deep down. And bring out the true colours in you and your face.

2. Girls are hairy on there legs, under arms, and pubic area... But I have noticed that my sister has a very hairy back and my neighbour has a hairy upper lip. I dont think its anything bad, but maybe get it maxed or shave it is really bothering you. That all depends on where it is

I like it. I find some hair on the sides of the forehead is a real turn-on.

Girls with lots of hair often have some hair around their nipples, too, and I don't mind that at all either.

You are very true! We always look for downs or bad things about our selfs. Say a scar is huge and very showable to you, other find it small and may not even notice it atall !!

I'm a really hairy person, it has to do somwhat with your heritage and believe me its a pain in the butt. It's so hard to make it unsightly, I have to shave like every other day it's ridiculous. haha So It's normal :]

Masculine forehead?

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT HAVING A MASCULINE FOREHEAD.
dw I have one too, xD
my advice would be to get a fringe if you feel really uncomfortable about it.
If you're cool with it then fine, go with it ;D
but I hate mine, so now I have a fringe which covers it up.
PM me lol

I'm pretty hairy too ^^ It doesn't help that I have dark brown hair and my arms are espaically affected. Honestly? I like being like that! Of course its normal, I also have quite a deep voice lol so i guess the testosterone thing is true .

Nothing to worry about. The masculine forehead? :S i don't really notice guys foreheads so i wouldn't know

I'm kinda hairy, and probably more noticeable because my hair is very dark brown.
I have some hair on my upper lip, tried to remove it once but too painful so left it.
No-ones ever said anything to me about it so chances are they havent noticed it.
Its generally more noticeable to you than anyone else so try not to worry about it too much. If it really worries you though, you can try shaving, waxing or bleaching.

Meh, some have hair and some don't. Its like I have really light hair on my arms and my sister's is a lot darker. I seem to have a masculine forehead too and a quite a wide jawbone. Some women can even grow beards depending on how much testosterone they have...everyone is just different.

It can be a disorder depending on the amount of hair and other symptoms. But having a little bit of extra hair on the arms or legs or wherever isn't really too much of a disorder, if it can be given a diagnosis. To get a diagnosis of something, you need to meet the criteria to get a diagnosis, such as personal distress, disability or dysfunction, statistical infrequency, violation of norms (more observable for mental disorders), etc... .
