Unhappy Vomiting for Days - January 22nd 2009, 11:52 PM

Hey all. I don't know what to do here.

I've been throwing up (unintentionally) after every meal since Tuesday morning. I have had a slight temperature since then. I've also got a lot of pain in my stomach (especially if touched) and indegestion. I have been able to keep down water and O.J., and absolutely nothing else. Since it's been three days, should I drive all the way back home from my college this weekend to visit my doctor or should I go to the Urgent Care here?

You need to see a doctor, urget care would probably be your best bet as driving probobly wouldn't help your stomach and it's not always a good idea to drive when ill, especially something like this. Dehydration is common, especially since it's been going on more than a day or two so try and keep hydrated and get to urgent care as soon as you can. The stomach flu is going around, which may be what it is.

I agree I would see a doctor as soon as you can.

Sounds like something I had for new years...NOTHING would stay in my stomach and I'd puke multiple times. Only thing that would stay down was tea and soup. My stomach also really hurt, and I had fevers here and there. I learned that I had a stomach virus...It didn't go away until about 4 days.

For me, I just ate easy-to-digest foods (apple, bread, banana) and didn't eat much until it fully went away. I just let it pass its course. And stay away from dairy products, because that will just make it worse. Also, you need to keep yourself hydrated so try to drink some water here and there.

But to be safe, you're probably better off going to the Urgent Care place near you.
