owwww. i just had mine out yesterday- all four and my mouth kills. its been about 30 hours since then. i iced them yesterday but my face is ridiculiously puffy still, and it gave me black eyes. is there any use in icing now?

Yes, definitely keep alternating between ice and heat for a few days. Don't leave either one of for more than 30 minutes at a time. It may not seem like it, but it DOES help the swelling go down faster.

huh. the sheet they sent me home with said don't use heat unless the doctor told you too, and he didn't. i'll keep icing them for now though.

yeah, ice cream's definatley my best friend rite now lol. and painkillers.
15's pretty young for your wisdom teeth to grow in... how old were you when you got them out? |

i actually got them out when i was like 12, they werent grown in yet. They were growing crooked so they had to pull them out. It was more than just pulling them out, they had to put me to sleep slice open my gums and pull them out. Yeah, it wasnt to fun. I've also had both my canines pulled.

love2laugh- i had the same operation with mine cuz the were growing in sideways, the bottom ones.
i have painkillers just my bottom right gum is swollen more and its like sitting in between my top and bottom molars. |

ice cream is a great thing to treat yourself to when your getting wisdom teeth. ^^
I remember mine...all 4 came through at roughly the same time..when I was 12... =O So yours is a good age to start getting wisdom teeth. ^^ |

thanks everyone. they're doing a lot better now. im off the painkillers and just taking regular ibproufen. the swellings down too. just a little sore.
