swineflu :(

so i suddenly came ill yesterday. was fine before i went to school , got to about 2 oclock and everything ached and my head hurt alot. got to my friends after school and i took paracetamol , everything was okay for a while , watched some fire works and i started feeling funny , everything echoed and i was freeezing cold yet everyone else was fine. ate some nice home made curry and i usualy eat it all up at my friends house but i ate 2 mouth fulls and gave up. got home at 8 and just flopped in bed and slept from 8:30 till 1 in the morning. couldnt sleep because i was sweating then going cold. was sick 5 times in the night and then got to sleep for 4 and woke up at 9. mum rung the helpline and they said to get some Tami-flu. dreading taking it because i feel rubbish as it is and the common side effects after taking the first tablet is nausea , sickness and tummy aches. sooo not a good day for me

I know how you feel I felt the same way at the beginning of the week. Come Wedensday I had a high fever and very dehydraited. Doctors told me I had the swine. Perscribed me Tamiflu but I cant take it. Made me break out and itch like crazy. If that doesnt work for you the other treatment option is relenza. Hope you feel better =]

Hopefully this will run it's course on it's own and there will be no need to take the tamiflu. You've got to expect illnesses like these, it's the time of year. If it's not swine flu it'll be the normal strain.

You'll have to follow the same procedures for this one such as, try to get plenty of rest, drink plenty of fluids and eat plain toast or crackers, put warm or cold compresses on your forehead depending which one works best - for the nausea; try adding ginger to meals etc.

yeah i agree with Lisa, drink lots of fluids - even if you can't eat!. food isn't all that important, if you go a few days without it, it's not a big deal.. but if you get dehydrated you're only going to triple your problems. i hope you're feeling better soon -- !.

i have not had swine flu but this time last year i went down with this awful diarohea and sickness bug, i lost so much fluid my dad ended having to go to the chemist and buying me some blackcurrant rehydraytants, they like have all the vitamins and minerals and salts that you loose when you are sick and have diarhoea, they taste icky but they help you get better and stop you dehydrating.
