URGENT! -
December 28th 2009, 03:23 PM
I apologize for the blunt and disgustingness of this thread how ever I really need information.
It appears there might have been blood in my erm..stool today. When I wiped I saw what looked like a scarlet strand of blood. However there was none in my stool or when I wiped again. I'm worried something is wrong! Is there? I can't really tell if it was blood or not. Does anyone know whats going on? Also my upper stomach has been achey and it has been kind of hard to breath, are these related? Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. ![]() |

it could be something like polyps, an intestinal infection or something more serious. having blood in your stool isn't necessarily something to be overly worried about but you should consult your doctor. it's probably either nothing or something easily treatable. don't be too worried.

Hello there. There are many reasons for blood being present in stools or 'blood staining' when wiping. These are:
- Haemorrhoids - Anal fissure - Fistula - IBS (Irritable bowel disease) Would you say it's 'fresh' blood? If it is i'd suggest that you go to your pharmacy and ask for haemorrhoids (Piles) cream. If symptoms persist i'd say go to your doctor and they'll run a few more tests. |

If it persists then you should go see a doctor.
It has happened when I was younger. If it has only happened once and never again. Then it's not something to be too alarmed about. Pansexual. Problematically Pierced. Disturbed and Depressed. And a Lost Realist. Got a question? I might just have an answer. Feel free to PM me. ![]() |

If it happends again, I would go see a doctor. You said you aren't 100% sure if you saw it, and I think it is normal to happend just once.
This may sound stupid, but could to possibly be that you are starting your period and that not much has come out yet but that? |

Sometimes if you eat certain red foods (like red bell peppers) then it can appear that there is blood in your stool when it's only undigested parts of your meal.
If it happens again I would suggest seeing your doctor, but at the moment I wouldn't say it's anything to worry about. If it is blood from the inside of your body I still wouldn't be worried because it's red. It's dried/black blood in your stool that you should be worried about It could be something as simple as a cut near the bottom of your digestive tract.

It could be the result of constipation as well. It could be any one of the things already mentioned in this thread, however nothing is for certain and your best bet is to book an appointment with your doc ASAP, especially if you notice any more.
Take care! & it's just like she's in another world. [<3] |
