Something wrong with my hearing? - January 4th 2010, 03:36 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

On Christmas Eve, my bitch ass dad slapped me in the ear and I heard it ringing. I noticed something was wrong when I turned on the faucet and it sounded weird.

I haven't listened to music turned all the way up with my headphones for a bit, but when I finally did, it didn't feel the same. The faucet also sounds weird again after I turn it on after listening to loud music. Maybe it's because it's been a little bit since I turned to loud music through headphones and I haven't gotten used to it? Or did my dad fucked up my ear? He didn't hit it super hard, but I fear I might've slightly lost hearing in one of my ears... Maybe I'm just exaggerating the feeling?

I think I know which sound you mean, but it usually lasts only a few minutes. I found something that might help you.

i was going to say tinnitus as well - my mum has it and it sounds similar to what you're describing.

The ringing only lasted a few seconds, but what I'm saying is that I'm scared that might've lost some hearing in one of my ears.

if it persists then maybe go and see an ENT doctor in that case?. i'd leave it a little while first though because usually it's just a temporary thing when your hearing goes a bit weird! unless you're in pain - then i'd go get it checked out sooner.
