Hmm, Embarrassing.. -
January 11th 2010, 03:17 PM
Okay this is really embarrassing but I need some advice.
I've searched for a similar topic and found one but it doesn't have much info. I have had these small lumps on my anus for a few weeks now. They're on the rim of my anus and there are about 2 or 3. It is painful to go to the toilet, and on a few occasions I have noticed that there was blood on the tissue after I wiped. It hurts and it itches sometimes. Does anyone know what it may be ? I am hoping to get an appointment to the doctors soon but I am a bit embarrassed and don't know what to say to my doc. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks |

It sounds like youre discribing piles/haemorrhoids. Im not certain as Ive never had that. Apparently they are very common and nothing serious. A lot of people get that after having a baby (I was told all about it when my cousin had a baby) but it can happen for many reasons.
Anyway I would advise going to the doctor to make sure. *edit* I forgot to say that treatment wasnt bad either they just gave her a cream to use. |

Hey,
Yea, I've had what your describing above... after a while it went away by itself - but my Mum said there were always treatments I could have used :] The Doc should be able to tell you more :] Claire x I'm still alive.

It sounds alot like pile's/haemorrhoids to me. I am lucky enough to have them myself... I went to the doctor and got some cream, which REALLY helps, and he suggested taking a salt bath...
Were you fill your tub maybe 2 inch deep with warm water and a LOAD of salt... and just bathe in it for 10 to 15 min's. apparently it really helps! It might be worth going to your doctors and getting some cream and advice before they get worse, I've been warned by my doctor that things are likely to get a lot worse (but I'm pregnant so its to be expected) |

You need to see a doctor, I don't really know how people are diagnosing piles from that description. Don't try and treat it yourself before seeing a doctor.

So says my doctor, but your better off getting a real diagnosis first.... tho I cant see a salt bath hurting.
It may be something other than piles tho, as I said it just sounds like it to me, the symptoms match, but it could be something else. better to get checked out. |
