Braces Off? - January 29th 2010, 01:00 AM

This mayyyyy be the wrong place but its the only spot tha seemed fitting.

I got my braces on towards the end of 7th grade and went to the orthodontist regularly for about a year and a half. Then my mom couldn't pay so I stopped going. I stopped going for at least a good year and got back in and I'm going regularly again and have been for like almost two years.

Has anyone had this happen? And does anyone have any clue why its taking so long? My teeth were not even that bad when I got my braces at all so I'm really confused. I'm a junior and I really want them off soon. I know the only way I'll really know is if I ask but I was just curious if you guys had any idea of ways I might be able to tell when they're coming off with the things they do when I go. :]

Love is all we need. :]

well probably the fact that you had to stop going did delay it somewhat.. but no one here can really tell you when you're going to get them off. i had braces for a few years but my teeth were really bad to begin with. ask your orthodontist at your next appointment what sort of time frame you're looking at for getting them off and the treatment finished. it varies so much from person to person and the only person that can judge it is your orthodontist. : )

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..
