Wisdom Teeth Extraction -

I got my wisdom teeth extracted surgically today and my pain killers aren't really working.. any ideas on what could help with pain other than an ice pack?

holy crap i have to get mine soon and i'm pretty scared. but yeah other then an ice pack, i cant think of anything.

Hey Brittney,
Many of my friends have gotten their wisdom teeth out already (not me so far!). I've heard of people eating ice cream and other cold things like that. I've also heard some people merely tried to keep themselves distracted at times, so that they avoid focusing on the pain. I've heard of eating apple sauce (not sure what this does?). My cousin massaged her cheeks (where they pulled out the teeth) every once and a while which was apparently soothing for her. Try searching the Internet. I'm sure you'll get tons of helpful advice. Hey there!
I had my wisdom teen removed about 3 years ago.. The only thing that helped with the pain was the strong pain killers that the surgeon gave me... I would highly recommend talking to your surgeon, and let him know that your pain killers aren't working.. In the meantime, do what Sabrina has recommended.. Ice cream..
