But it's alwyas in the back of my mind and i want to do sumet about it.

1.) could i gte surgery done now, when im 15?
2.) what can i say to my mum? ,, how can i tell her this? me and my mum aren't like proper close , we dont talk about stuff like this o.o
but she is the only person i live with apart from my sisters and i dnt really wanna tell them...
the other problem is that my mum is religious and wil probs think that I dnt need it because the only man im gna have sex with is the man i marry , and that is not true, but i am NOT going to tell her that, i might die. ha.
she just wouldnt understand that i want this done because i am very self consious about it...

i wouldnt really let my bf look at it when we foolin' about and yeah it kinda just makes me feel urgh.

1) I don't think (and I certainly would HOPE) that no plastic surgeon will operate on you before you are 18. I would defintley recommend against this as your body keeps growing and changing until at least this age.

2) Well you'd have to just be honest with your mum, and then ask her to pay for it. This operation isn't avalible on the NHS so you'll have to ask her for approximately 5,000. She would have to concent to you risking your life for this surgery, too.

I would advise against this operation in general, but especially at such a young age.

I also wanted to say that that woman's vagina was not abnormal. Vagina and labia come in lots of different shapes and sizes, very few are like those that porn stars have, honestly. I was actually pretty sadened that the programme paid for her surgery or even recommended it, because it wasn't necessary. No guy is going to get to the stage they're about to have sex with you and then say "uh no sorry, your labia is too big". Very few guys would even notice, never mind care. Any guy that has sex knows its nothing like porn.

(RAH) + (AH) + RO(MA + MAMA) + (GA) + OOH + (LA) = Bad Romance

Religion is like a penis.
It's fine to have one.
It's fine to be proud of it.
But please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around.
And PLEASE don't try and shove it down my throat.

I can pretty much guarantee you that no surgeon will even consider doing something like that until you are at least 18. Plus, if you do get surgery, you'll be spending thousands of dollars to lose a good amount feeling in that area, talk about a party-killer.

Like her_beautiful_mistake told you, labias and vaginas come in all shapes, sizes and colors, and (unless you have a medical condition) there is nothing wrong with yours. That surgery is mainly another way for the media to tell women that there is yet another thing they need to "correct" about themselves when we're beautiful the way we are.

Hey Lucy! I can relate to what you're going through at the moment. I used to be very self-conscious of my labia, as mine is also large. However, I've come to love myself just the way I am. As the others have said, labias come in many different shapes and sizes, and if your partner truly cares about you, he or she won't care what it looks like, anyway.

You are unique; embrace it. Don't change yourself. You're beautiful just the way you are!

I agree with the other posters. Labias come in all different sizes; there is no "normal" size. Your partner should not care what it looks like, either. :]
Don't change anything about yourself. Everyone is unique and every part of you is special

Hi Lucy,

Like everyone else said, it's perfectly normal to have different sized labia. You shouldn't feel self-conscious about it. Like Rachel said, pretty much no guy is going to notice, and none of them are going to care.

The only reason why some women get surgery down there is because their labia actually cause problems, not just for cosmetic reasons. Sometimes, depending of the size, labia can cause problems like chafing and it can be really uncomfortable for the woman. That's generally why they would get surgery, but since you haven't mentioned any physical effect this is having on you, I really think it would be best to leave it.

Hey Lucy,

I would say no to this surgery. You are young.
Labias come in all different shapes and sizes and they are nothing to be ashamed of.
Plus, the surgery will cause you to lose a lot of feeling down there.
Don't be worried about what a guy will think.
Any guy will not care whether they are small or big.

The only reason to get that kind of surgery would be if the labia caused chafing and/or discomfort.

Slow down! Me and my friend both watched this on embarrassing bodies too and after the show we were both thinking we had something wrong with us down there too because we looked very much like the girl on the programme did & we have never had any problems!

All girls look different down there from discussing with my friends so I am sure you are completely normal and healthy!

Also, my boyfriend has never given me any complaints about there and my friend has never had any problems with boys either! They really don't care what you look like down there & if you boyfriend did, well you are with the wrong boy! They all look different down there too, I'm sure you wouldn't really notice if his balls were too big/small??

I think that 15 is too young to be considering surgery! Why don't you wait a few while longer and if it is really becoming some sort of problem and is affecting you psychologically or physically, re-consider it then?

I'm pretty sure that you don't need surgery for it though, after all wea all come in different shapes and sizes- it's normal!
