Fleas -
June 22nd 2010, 05:21 AM
So I have fleas. Yay for just now discovering this, apparently my cats have fleas and I have them from association.
I ordered meds for them, but I'm unsure what to do with myself. I have work tomorrow, is it a valid enough reason to request off of work so I can clean my house and get my own hair straightened out? I don't want to tell work I have fleas if they're going to be all 'yeah, that's not a big deal' and them unnecessarily know I have fleas. I don't want to be at work either knowing I have fleas, I feel gross and I don't want to get any of my coworkers flea bitten. Is it okay to tell my manager about it? |

I would have thought so.
Thing is if you work with the public or food, then going to work with fleas is a big no no (in my books anyway!) Tell them that you have to clean your house for health reasons ... I wouldn't have thought you'd have to go into any more detail than that! falling_x So much for that idea ...

Yeah I would think it would be OK to request off;because they can jump a long ways from person to person and you do not want your co-workers getting fleas.

Tell them you found out you have an insect infestation you need to get taken care of.. they don't have to know its fleas. Could be termites! lol
If you are only taking a day off I'm sure its not a big deal and they probably wouldn't even question it. When reality is a prison, your mind can set you free. |
