Ok so I keep getting really bad cramps, like period pain, at random intervals. It can get so bad at times that even standing up hurts and its agonising to twist or reach for anything. I can't have sex either because I'm in agony afterwards. I take cerazette which is the POP or mini-pill depending on where you're from, and a side effect of it is no periods full stop, which is what I have. It's annoying because I get these cramps and expect bleeding when I know there wont be any {sorry for tmi} and they can be really painful.
I've seen a doctor who suspected cysts and I'm booked in for some ultrasounds in mid-july but wondered if anyone else had anything similar?

Are these only during your period?

I used to have really bad ones just before and during my period. I'd literally double up and have to stay there until it went away. I found that hot water bottles, drinking water and chocolate helped (:

I'd get in a hot bath... that's what I do for period cramps. Feel better

Hey Joanna,
I get really bad cramps and they are not fun. I'm on the depo injection and I still get this and light bleeding.
I'm sure once you've had the ultra sounds done they will be able to tell you some more. If you do have a cyst or cysts this could definitely be the cause. I was in a lot of pain and it turned out I had cysts on both ovaries, one had to be removed and the other had to be drained.
Sometimes cysts are so small they don't need to be removed it really depends on the size of them. Just try to take plenty of hot baths as already suggested and maybe ask your doctor to prescribe you co-codemol, it's just a slightly stronger pain killer for things like period pain and it can really help to ease stomach cramps and aches.

It's just annoying ya know, cause it happens at any point (I don't get periods- that's what I meant) and it can get quite bad. Ah well, thanks for the advice
