Is my music just not healthy? -
June 27th 2010, 07:09 AM
My favorite music just gets so impacting on my emotions.
Like Throbbing Gristle. I get, what some call, possessed by the rhythm. Like literally, I start chanting the lyrics and shaking and stuff like that, uncontrollable, unconscious. And Muse. Sometimes I get possessed by it, but not that much. But I get so angry or so sad, depending on the song. It flips my mood up and down confusingly. But Red. I hear them, and I feel like I'm going to die from...something. And it brings me so back. Back to the time I was a Willow Rock... Oh God. I can't help hearing my favorite music, you know? I can't let it go. I can't live without mu music. It makes me, it saves me. But it also breaks me. Is this unhealthy? Also to add: When I head a specific Red Song, I see stuff. Buildings. And they're all mental hospitals. In 3/16/2012, the enemy was destroyed.
No more fears! WHO YOU WERE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You found some songs that relate to you and people naturally swing to the beats. Just because you're an avid fan doesn't mean something is wrong with you, seems fine.

I agree with the above.
Also, my sister and I both get different images in our heads to different songs. "Being in a scene," we call it, because we both tend to get so absorbed in the music and our thoughts/the images in our heads that we zone out and often tend to snap at someone if they break us from our reveries. This is something many of our friends do, too. That being said, both I and many of my friends have experienced what you are with music. To me, especially at your age, it sounds normal and not at all as though there's something wrong with you. I wouldn't worry about it. |
