To my knowledge, yoga is more about toning than about losing weight or "tightening" your tummy. For either of those purposes, you'd probably have to do something more aerobic like plyometrics, crunches, running, weight lifting, or something similar. With that said, yoga is still great and definitely will HELP you to build your core muscles, but I don't think it'll give you ripped out abs on it's own or anything.
