Chiggers! -
June 29th 2010, 03:10 AM
So im a bit of a baby when it comes to being itchy and I have chiggers. I've never had them before and its covering my entire foot.
I've put this Chigg Away stuff on, anti-itch cream, ice, fingernail polish, I even tried something my dad told me and put vicks vapor rub on it, and nothing works. I've taken some bendrayl as well. Do you guys know any other ways to relive the itching. I know I probaly shouldnt scratch it but I just cant stop, I've never had something itch so much. I've aleardy scratched them raw and I've had them for a day. Help? ![]() |

Are they a form of skin lice?
have you been to your doctor about it? I'm pretty sure they could prescribe you something for this. Anyway for the itching try calamine lotion or savlon cream, it's soothing and works for rashes/bumps/spots etc. Good luck!! & it's just like she's in another world. [<3] |

Chiggers are small bugs typically found in the South of the USA, and they itch like CRAZYYYY!!! Oh my gosh, I used to get them all the time and they're horrible! What I would have said is the clear nail polish and benedryl, because that's what I always did. But I'd also recommend soaking your foot in SCALDING hot water, and then washing it with soap and water and drying it throughly with a towel. That always helped me, that and distracting myself! Hope you feel better soon!
