Be sure to use proper protection from the sun, that's a major cause of damage. Be sure to use moisturizer as well. The other thing is to make sure that you are getting enough of the nutrients that your skin needs.

Sun protection is the number one thing you absolutely need to do to have healthy skin in the future. At least SPF 20 should be used and if it's a moisturizer with SPF in it, that's even better. Clinique makes this stuff called City Block that you can get with either SPF 25 or 40 that I've used before and like a lot. Clinique also makes some Face Creams that come with SPF 50 or 30 that I've heard good things about. While it's not extremely crucial what brand the sun protection stuff is from, I tend to stick with Clinique and Olay, and if you have any brands that you like for facial products, you should see what they have.
Links for more information: As far as washing your face goes, I'd stick with some very basic cleansers like Basis or Cetaphil. You can also use some Vitamin E oil as it's completely great for skin. Vitamin C is also really good for your skin. Also, I have no idea what your budget is like, but there's this thing called a Clarisonic that's pretty much a big electronic toothbrush for your face that you use with your normal cleanser and it helps prevent wrinkles and helps your cleanser work to its full potential. It's kind of expensive, but I have one and I think it's completely worth it. Links for more information: The main thing, really, with all of this, is to keep everything that you're putting on your face as natural as possible. "Love me for me, accept the fact I'm true, live like I want, fufill my dreams, Dream of me, run out free, capture your words and never let them go." I'll see you on the other side. |
