I have a really, really low back on my prom dress, so I can't wear anything to suck it in. =/ - February 15th 2009, 05:20 PM

So, basically, I have a hugemongous [i know that isn't a word] butt.
I mean, I'm not fat. My measurements are xx-xx-xx.
Anyway, I don't know how to fix the issue with the dress sucking to my butt and my stomach because I can't wear anything to smooth it all out because you'll be able to see it in the back. I have a little bit of a pudge in my abdomen, and I want to fix that, and tighten my butt a little. Basically, butt and stomach.
So, what exercises can I start doing? Prom is March 19. I can't afford a gym membership, so I'm basically on my own.

Give me something to believe in
a breath from the breathing
so write it down
I don't think that I'll close my eyes
'cause lately I'm not dreaming
so what's the point in sleeping?
it's just that at night
I've got nowhere to hide.

sit-ups and vary how much your legs are bent to make it harder. also crunchies, simmilar to sit-ups but you keep your knees bent, feet crossed and in the air, and you pull them towards your belly while you do a sit up. (google it, they'll probably explain it more clearly)
and butt clenches, those are easy you can even do them when you're on TH , jus clench your bum for 15 secs then stop, then do it again, etc etc
oh and you could try squats xx

My old pilates instructor said sit-ups are good for not only your abdominal muscles but they can also be good for your lower back area as well, crunches and leg-lifts are also good for your abdominal muscles. In leg lifts you just lay flat on the ground and try to lift your legs up straight at a 90 degree angle, but you can also just lift them an inch or so off the ground and hold them there... doing that enough may also help your butt too.. however on that, I'm not 100% sure, so you may want to ask a gym teacher at your school or something.

Also, running should help burn some of that off.

Pilates, yoga, aerobics and deffinitly a body-weight routine will help.
