My right hand is abnormally cold - February 17th 2009, 12:48 PM

My right hand is ALWAYS cold, no matter what temperature it is, no matter if I'm under 5 blankets, or wearing mittens, My right hand is always freezing.

It isn't cold to the point wear it hurts, like frostbite or anything...but it does have a slight numbness to it sometimes.
It's really irritating...My boyfriend HATES it, because I've gotten somewhat used to it, so i'll just be like horsing around with him and whatever, and I'll end up touching him with my right hand and he has a low tolerance for anything shocking, and he jumps like a mile high.

Not to mention it annoys me as well...Just because I don't really understand what could possibly be wrong.

Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone else?

Should I see a doctor, or is there something I'm doing that could be affecting it?

a cold hand can be the result of poor circulation. It's nothing to be alramed about. Also my hands get cold under stress, and when I'm not moving around lot. SO if your left hand dominant, than I can see you haveing cold hands. Maybe you should see a doctor if it becomes a real problem or if you lose feeling

So where did everyone go?
And you don't even know
So don't pretend that you do

It's just a set up
For all the failures
Always playing after something cool

Thank you for your advice.

I should add that-
It's not an off and on thing, it is constantly extremely colder than the rest of my body and room tempurature.

My right hand is my Dominant hand,
and the cold isn't on and off, But there is a numbness that comes and goes throughout the day.

If you're not using it, there can be less circulation throughout and it's colder. How about if you go into, say, a warm sauna after some exercise. Is it still cold then? If after exercise and in a warm sauna it never heats up, then head over to the doctors.

If it's truly a disorder, there's too many to list. Could be circulatory, could be Raynaud's Phenomenon, etc... .

But, when it gets cold, does the colour of the skin change?
