Intense sore muscles - September 13th 2010, 02:01 AM

So, yesterday i went on that huge run for charity. Today, i can barely walk. My muscles hurt soo freakn bad, that i could almost pass out from the pain. Especially when i move. What can i do? What is the best thing to do? Stretch? Rest? Please help! I feel like ive been bashed, when i cough or even breathe, it feels like my ribs are broken, i can feel them move in and out.

Hey there,

Muscle pains are actually a good sign as they show that you are in face building up you're muscle and helping them to get stronger! This pain is nothing at all to worry about and don't let it discourage you from exercising in the future. It's been said that gentle stretching in particular will help reduce exercise related muscle pains. Ice, rest, anti-inflammatory medication, massages and heat may also help.
