Hmm...mixed symptons...advice - February 18th 2009, 08:45 PM

So for around 3 weeks i've been having symptons of something. And i'm just getting a little worried. So i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, i'd rather not go to the doctors if its unlikely to be anything.

1) Strong smelling unine, frequent urination, originally only in little bits, but now normal amounts.

2) Small occasional stabbing pains in my sides.

3) Feeling really restless, and emotional

4) Then yesterday...my tonsil swelled up

5) Today, i have a kinda white layer on my tounge, and it feels rough and bumpy....

So...any ideas? And is it likely that there connected, or 4 and 5 seperate? Just wondering coz its bugging me

In terms of frequent urination/strong smell and stabbing pains in your side it could possibly be a UTI/Bladder infection. The other symptoms could be tonsilitis as the last time I had it my only symptoms were a coated tounge and swollen tonsils.
Either way, they need to be checked by a doctor. I'm only guessing at what it could POSSIBLY be. Either of these problems, if they are correct need medical attention as soon as possible so it would be in your best interest to seek medical help as soon as you can.

The urination and side pain could be signs of a urinary tract infection, but there are other kidney related illnesses that this is a symptom of. As for the other symptoms, well they could be tonsilitis, as Stacey said... but it doesn't seem like the two sets of signs are related. In any case, you should see your doctor asap.

You need to talk to your doctor about this.

We are not physicians : keep this in mind when reading the following.

Sometimes, during infections, urine and lymph nodes can be affected. You have lymph nodes all throughout your body, including your throat, chest, intestines, and elsewhere. During infections, these swell to protect the body with more white blood cells. See your doctor to have some blood work done to make sure you don't have an infection.
