Arrow Maintaining Weight? - September 14th 2010, 06:10 AM

So... I want to know if I'll maintain my weight if I continue eating normally.

In the morning I'll have a bowl of cereal or oatmeal.
4 days out of the week I'll eat a lean cuisine or smart one for lunch at school.
When I get off I'll eat fast food or at home.

Is it okay to just eat what you want. Like If I go to taco bell I'll have 2 or three tacos and a cinnamon twist?

I mean, I've eaten normally my whole life, I just want to know If I should be dieting.

Hey there,

I don't really think you need to diet. You're looking to maintain your weight, and if what you're eating is maintaining your weight there can't be anything wrong with it, right? I would really recommend eating healthier, though. Could you cut out the fast food for dinner and make something yourself? Also, are you getting fruit and vegetables in, and are you snacking? There's a good guide to healthy eating here.

You eating habits sound okay to me, except, like Rie said, try avoiding fast foods and eat fruits and vegetables.

If you ask your doctor about your weight and he says you don't need to start watching yourself, you probably don't.

Ultimately maintaining weight is about calories in vs. calories out, so if you can do that with your current diet then yes, you will maintain your weight.

Having said that your current diet is pretty terrible, and there's plenty of reasons to change it that have nothing to do with whether or not you can maintain your weight.
