Eye Problems. - December 2nd 2010, 02:42 AM

I have had problems with my eyes, pimpe-like bumps being in the inside of the eyelids, there was one on top of my eyelid on the other eye. It's been weird, but those have gone away but the one eye, the eyelids are a bit swollen and a dandruff-like condition in the eyelashes.
I recently went to an eye doctor recommended from my regular doc, and he said it was an infection from not keeping my eyes clean so I've made a habit of NOT rubbing or touching my eyes at all anymore because that could benefit from it. Even if they are itchy, I refrain from doing it.
He said take a q-tip, warm water and Johnson's baby shampoo, clean twice daily, I do that and I don't know if this will work to keep them clean? He says it should prevent infection. Has anyone ever had this problem and does this method really work?

Hey there,

I've never had an eye infection that I can recall. However, baby shampoo doesn't sting, and I have read in numerous places that it does work. If it was a viral infection, it would not be cured by baby shampoo, but this is a bacterial infection, so chances are it will help! Give it a go, however maybe dilute the shampoo if you're worried!

Take care.
