Excessive sweating. - March 4th 2009, 07:36 PM

Okay this is really embarrasing but yeah..
I sweat sooo much. It's horrible. I don't mean like armpits, I mean everywhere. Especialy back, arms and face. Even if it's not hot. Like today it was about 5șC outside and when I went into my classroom, the temp changed to about 10șC and I just couldn't stop sweating. It's so embarrasing beacause you can see it through whatever I'm wearing and people are always like, why are your arms wet? I'm not overweight and in quite good shape..I don't whats causing it!
I live in quite a warm and humid place so in the summer it's even worse. What can I do about it? Please help it's practicly ruining my life..

It sounds like you might have Hyperhidrosis, which is basically excessive sweating. Make sure your deodrant is an "antiperspirant." If that doesn't work you may want to seek the advice of a doctor, who may recommend an antiperspirant that contains aluminium chloride. Other than that, wearing loose clothing can be helpful and avoiding spicy food which will just make you hotter.

Here is some info about hyperhidrosis;

Maybe go to your doctor and see what she/he suggests? I know there are medications you can take but i don't know the ins and outs of it, you'd have to talk it through with them. There are injections you can get, i don't know how appropriate that would be? Again, you'd have to ask your doctor. If it's having such an impact on your life, don't just sit there and suffer, go to your doctor, excessive sweating is pretty common and you won't be the first person who they've seen with it.

Secret Clinical Strength is supposed to be really good. You might also want to check with your doctor, if that doesn't work, about getting injections of Botox in your armpit sweat glands. That should stop the perspiration.
