knuckles - March 4th 2009, 08:35 PM

how can you tell if you have broken your knuckles? without going to A&E i mean... my mum is too busy to take me etc and i cant go myself. I sorta punched a wall a lot and now its bruised and swollen and painful. My CAMHS lady said she thought i needed to go to A&E but idk if i can...

my mum just said im silly, and i should think of other people before i do silly things like that

I think im just gonna ask the school nurse if she can strap it up or something

x

I imagine you'd be unable to bend your fingers or clench your first but as you mentioned only an X-Ray can tell for sure

Go and see the school nurse, and if she suggests you go to A&E then i'm afraid that's probably your only option. I'm not even sure what they do with broken knuckles :/

well i do know somebody who broke their knuckles and they could still move their fingers....... All they can do is strap it up though, which is why my mum is reluctant to go

hmm. Yeah, i was gunna say.. theres probably not much they can do even if you do go, its almost worth just getting the school nurse to strap it up and waiting it out. If it doesn't get better.. then go. -sigh- i just hate how long they make you wait at A&E it puts you off going.
